Age Limit: Candidates age limit must be above 18 years but not more than 35 years as on 01-02-2014. Age relaxation will be applicable as per the rules.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must be Graduate from a recognized University having proficiency in English Shorthand and typing for English Stenographers and for Hindi Stenographers, the candidate must be proficient in Hindi shorthand and typing. The speed of shorthand and typing of English stenographers would be 60 and 30 words per minute respectively and for Hindi Stenographer the speed would be 60 and 25 words per minute

Examination Fee: Candidates have to pay the Original Bank Draft / Postal Order for Rs.400/- (Four Hundred Only) for General category, EBC./MBC (Schedule-I) BC (Schedule II) and Rs. 125/- (One Hundred and Twenty Five only) for SC and ST drawn on any nationalized Bank payable at Ranchi favouring Registrar General, High Court, of Jharkhand, Ranchi towards the payment of examination fees.
Selection Process: Candidates would be selected based on their performance in Skill test, Personality Test and Interview.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates can send their applications in the prescribed format along with attested photocopy of the Matriculation or equivalent Certificate in proof of date of birth, attested photocopy of Certificate of Graduation and Stenography, caste certificate, Bank, three recent passport size photographs, one self addressed unstamped envelope of 10 by 4.5 c.m. etc enclosed in an envelope super scribed with “ENGLISH STENOGRAPHER”/ “HINDI STENOGRAPHER”, should reach to the Registrar General, High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi by Registered post / speed Post only on or before 22-02-2014.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates can apply in prescribed format along with Photocopies duly attested by a Gazetted Officer like Matriculation Certificate in proof of date of Birth, Provisional/ Original Certificate of Graduation from a recognized University, Caste Certificate (in case of reserved category), Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority in case of claiming reservation, Handicapped certificate issued by the competent authority in case of Handicapped, Typing certificate issued by competent institutions, DD, 1 recent passport size photograph (duly attested by Gazetted Officer), should be affixed in the application form, 1 self addressed unstamped envelope of 10 by 4.5 cms and send through registered post/ speed post to the Registrar General, Jharkhand High Court, Ranchi on or before 28-02-2014.
